Copper is the second most common metal in the game (iron being the most common), which can be gathered from a rock using an Iron pickaxe or better.
Copper can be used to make tools though unrecommended, because of the lower durability than iron and only a slight chance to get better metals. However, it is a major part to making Steam Engine Parts and costs 50 Copper to produce.
Copper equipment has a 1/5 chance of losing durability upon use making it not that bad.
Trivia[]
- Copper's prefix in making furniture is "Coppered"
- Copper is mainly used at Nova Balreska to purchase Musical Instruments crates which are higher in resale value than the normal cargos. If Copper is traded for at a low price, you can use it to help you amass large quantities of coins by bringing Instruments to Whitecrest.
- It is recommended to not make tools with copper, as the rate of dropping rare resources significantly decreases when tools are made from it.
- Discouraged for making cannons by many players for its durability as well as its colour.
- when used on a pickaxe, it gives more coal and copper
