The Demeter is a large trading steamship introduced in the Purshovian Auction Update, with a staggering 30 cargo capacity, holding joint first for highest cargo capacity with the Ceres. The Demeter was released alongside the Ares in 5th of May 2022 as a limited-time ship. She was removed from the shipwright on the 25th of May.
Ship Characteristics[]
The Demeter has mounts for a stern turret, of which the Poseidon Turret can also be used. She carries two mediums per broadside. 6 swivels can be mounted in total, wherein four swivels are mounted just next to the helm, and the last two near the cargo hold.
Handling[]
The Demeter's overall maneuverability is poor. Her turn rate is very slow, and both sail and engine speed are 7, which is very mediocre for a trade ship. However, her engines allow her to run upwind from incoming pirates.

- Was available for a limited time during the Purshovian auction.
- The ship was put on-sale in the Shipwright for a second time from 16 November 2023 to 5 December 2023.
- Despite its poor sailing speed, the Demeter earns about as much as the Albatross and Camel because of its massive cargo capacity.
- The Demeter was given a Ship Variant, that being the Raider Demeter. It increases the Demeter's top speed and adds Bow chasers. The downside of this variant is that you CANNOT purchase cargo from cargo merchants, you can only steal it. (This is why the variant is known as the Raider Demeter.) This variant also decreases the size of the ships broadside and lowers its maximum health.
- The ship was named after the Greek goddess of harvest and agriculture, it's Roman counterpart was the Ceres.
